Discover Enterprise!

on Thu, 08/27/2015 - 3:35pm

Enterprise, a brand new interface for our online catalog, is available for you to check out today! Click here and discover a new search experience with Enterprise and WMTL. It's new and improved and we're ready for you, our patrons, to put it to work. As you put Enterprise through its paces, please share your suggestions or questions at wmtl@wmtl.org.

Not ready to cross the threshold to Enterprise? You can still access our classic iBistro catalog here. Bear in mind, you may discover that certain functions work better in Enterprise. Trouble placing a hold in iBistro? Give Enterprise a try.

We expect to fully transition to Enterprise in the next few weeks, so enjoy searching and comparing old and new. As always, your comments and questions are appreciated. For additional information or assistance, please call our Adult Services desk at 973-728-2822 or email wmtl@wmtl.org.

Sowing Stories, Sowing Seeds

on Mon, 07/27/2015 - 5:33pm

The Seed Exchange Bank, a community partnership between the 4-H Velveteens of Passaic County and WMTL, has been a wonderful success thanks to the enthusiasm of our local gardeners. As our shared venture continues to grow and bloom, we welcome your comments and suggestions. Please share your gardening stories on the note cards available at the Circulation Desk or visit the Seeds of Faith Facebook page at www.facebook.com/seedsoffaiths.

Autumn's harvest moon is on the horizon and these sunny, summer days are the ideal time to sow your fall seeds. Visit WMTL today to "borrow" up to 10 seed packets perfect for planting now. Not sure what to do with harvested seeds? Help the Seed Exchange Bank flourish and "return" your harvested seeds to WMTL. The 4-H Velveteens will safely store the seeds, so our backyard gardeners can look forward to another season of sowing!

Summer Reading Club 2015

on Fri, 06/19/2015 - 10:52am

Every Hero Has a Story, WMTL’s Summer Reading Club, begins Monday, July 6 and continues through Sunday, August 9.

Here’s how SRC 2015 works:

  •  Pick up a reading log at the Library, or print one from our website.
  •  Track the amount of time you spend reading in your log each week.
  •  For every 60 minutes you read, cross off one READ starburst from the weekly coupons in your log.
  •  Fill out the back of the coupon with your name, phone number, and total reading time.
  •  Bring your reading log to the Adult/Teen or Children’s Services desk and a librarian will collect your completed coupon.
  •  Readers who complete all five weeks of reading will receive a surprise.

All returned coupons are eligible for a Grand Prize. Winners will be announced at the Ice Cream Social & Sing-Along on Tuesday, August 11 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.

Students! Any reading you complete for your school's summer reading assignments can also count towards WMTL’s Summer Reading Club. Join our Every Hero Has a Story Summer Reading Club today and win a prize while you read your way through the summer!

Questions? Please call the Adult/Teen Services desk at 973-728-2822 or the Children’s Services desk at 973-728-2823 and we’ll help get you started.
